“A Journey of Skills”: Skills Acquisition through a Transnational Placement on 8th November 2010 Antwerp/Belgium.
New Skills Network aims to draw attention to European funded project outcomes focusing on skills upgrading and matching in Europe. 15 national agencies are involved in the project, which is financed under the Key Activity 4 of the LLP programme (Dissemination and Exploitation of Results).
The seminar A JOURNEY OF SKILLS will tackle the issue of skills upgrading and skills recognition for learners in the framework of Leonardo da Vinci and Erasmus transnational placements. It is not only targeted to practicioners of mobility projects, but also to other projects that tackle the issues of the seminar in for example partnership projects, projects on cooperation between higher education institutions and enterprises, transfer and development of innovation projects, ...
The main element of the seminar will be workshops on 4 different themes:
1. What skills can be acquired?
2. (New) skills for (new) jobs
3. Identifying skills and the role of qualitative preparation in this respect
4. Validating, recognising and using skills
Participating in the seminar is free of charge. Please note that travel costs will not be reimbursed by the organisers.
